Trinity’s spring sports teams spent the afternoon of Mar. 4 engaged in team building and reflection.

Mr. Steven Tompkins, Director of Sports Ministry

Members of the volleyball, fishing, baseball, track and tennis spring sports teams at Trinity took some time from their practice schedules this past Friday, Mar. 4,  and enjoyed an afternoon of team building and camaraderie.  The teams came together for an opening prayer and then split into groups to find out more about themselves and their teammates.

Interesting how they sometimes find out how they all have the same struggles and same successes in their teen life.  The afternoon ended with an individual from each team sharing what they learned, and Trinity Chaplain Fr. Dave Zettel shared some readings from scripture.  The teams also shared in the Exposition of the Blessed Sacrament, and Fr. Zettel blessed all of the sports teams.

It was an amazing afternoon!  Our student-athletes were truly thankful for being able to participate.  It is times like these when our student-athletes understand it is not always about the wins and the losses — and that we are building men of faith and men of character.
