“All the world’s a stage,” and for Artistic Director Mr. William P. Bradford II, theatre has a been a sharing of gifts for 50 years.  The Trinity community and beyond came together May 13 to honor Mr. Bradford for his amazing career.

From Trinity President Dr. Rob Mullen:  “The Billy Bradford tribute event was powerful. Joy Durbin, Greg Sysol, John Zehnder, Kate and JC Reedy, Molly Wolfram, Jean and Paul Passafiume, and some of Billy’s oldest friends joined forces to rightly salute this theatre force of nature. Former cast and crew members from the past 50 years gathered for a night of laughs, tears and embraces.”

Mr. Bradford was honored in a number of ways:

  • a proclamation from Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer
  • a scrapbook of all his shows from Bishop David and Trinity
  • a portrait commissioned by the Passafiumes by Jeff Thompson ’77
  • performances from a Trinity parent who was in Mr. Bradford’s first show and from some in the final show, “The King and I”
  • performances from some former students now in professional theatre, among them Elliot Brown
  • one of Mr. Bradford’s first students telling of the impact he had on the student
  • an endowed financial aid scholarship for students interested in the THS performing arts program   — to contribute contact Mr. Brian Monell at 736-2160.
