Ms. Jennifer Lynn Barnes is married, has three boys, and is a professor of psychology at the University of Oklahoma — she has also published 22 novels in the past 15 years.  Today she talked with Trinity students via Zoom about her novel “The Lovely and the Lost,” which was the Rocks’ all-school summer read.

Barnes, who writes YA mysteries in various genres, talked with a half dozen or so classes during each of blocks two, three and four, and answered questions from students.  Barnes spoke of her writing career, from the early days of writing five “pretty bad” novels in high school to becoming a published author at 19. She also told the students and teachers about the inspiration for and the process of writing “The Lovely and the Lost.”

Trinity librarian Mrs. Betsy deGolian coordinated the Zoom visit.
