Rocks’ Fall Sports Excelling at Midpoint

At the midpoint of the fall sports seasons the Rocks are posting some excellent results:

Golf-
* Losing all five state tournament golfers from the 2014 fourth-place state team roster, this year’s squad is working hard to compete and improve each and every week.
* So far this season the team has impressive wins over Ballard, DeSales, Eastern, Male and South Oldham.

Cross Country-
* The team has had strong performances at competitive meets such as the local Tiger Run and the Asics Summer Bash in Columbus, Ohio.
* This week will see another impressive Trinity Invitational on Sept. 19 at E.P. Tom Sawyer Park. This meet has become one of the largest and most respected high school cross country meets in the country.

Football-
* The football Rocks, ranked all season in the top 100 of the USA rankings, have an impressive record of 4-1, having faced a very competitive first part of the regular-season schedule.
* District play begins on Sept. 25 at Jeffersontown High School.
* The Rocks will step out of district play for one week on Oct. 2 for the annual showdown with St. Xavier at PJCS.

Soccer-
* The team is off to a fast start against strong competition at 7-0-2 and finds itself in a strong position as likely regular-season district champions.
* Having been ranked this season in the top 25 in USA rankings, the soccer Rocks have some very competitive matches upcoming to include playing a highly ranked school from Delaware, the Male Bulldog Cup and the annual regular-season match vs St. Xavier at Trinity during Pride Week.
