After two weeks of settling in, the Rocks gathered in Steinhauser Gymnasium — transformed into a place of worship — to celebrate the ‘launchpad into the new year.’  That was the way Chaplain Fr. Dave Zettel, a 1958 alumnus, described this morning’s Opening Mass — an opportunity to take a brief respite from the chaos of starting a new school year and a chance to unveil the theme that will guide the school community through the next nine months.

Addresses by Senior Class President Matthew Coontz and Principal Dan Zoeller alluded to the theme “Character Forged by Faith,” words displayed prominently on a poster that will remain ubiquitous throughout the campus.
