Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer ’76, a key to the city for Trinity football head coach Bob Beatty, and an updated banner and St. Matthews sign proclaiming the Rocks as 2016 football champions.  A praise-packed morning assembly recognized the Shamrocks for capturing the KHSAA 6A state championship crown with a 56-21 victory over Lexington Lafayette.

With this championship, Trinity took the all-time lead in KHSAA football titles with 24, Beatty now holds the record for titles won by a head coach with 12, the win marked the 600^th football victory in school history, and the Rocks finished the season 15-0.
