Frozen Second Semester Resumes

Normal Temps Return this Weekend

Winter weather disrupted classes from Jan. 12 through Jan. 17

A little more than a week into the new semester, Mother Nature in the form of bitter cold, a layer of ice and a few inches of snow put the brakes on classes for almost a week.  After a delayed start on Jan. 8, school was called off on Jan. 12, 16 and 17 due to snow and ice. Jan. 15 was a scheduled off day to honor Martin Luther King Jr.

After two “snow days,” students were given assignments online on Jan. 17. Despite temperatures still well below freezing, classes resumed on a delayed start Jan. 18 and a normal 8-2 schedule on Jan. 19.

Temperatures are expected to jump back into the 40s and 50s during the weekend.
