Trinity junior JM Butler captured the KHSAA state golf individual championship on Saturday in Bowling Green with a score of 5 under par.

With a region championship and a state championship under his belt, JM will be in the running for the 2018 Mr. Kentucky Golf award.

Trinity’s last individual state golf champion was 39 years ago when Scott Beard ’79 took home the title.
