Trinity senior Joseph Eng earned the National Speech & Debate Association’s Academic All American award.

According to the National Speech & Debate Association, “This coveted award recognizes academic rigor, competitive speech and debate success, and personal excellence. From more than 141,000 student members of the National Speech & Debate Association, fewer than one percent of students earn the Academic All American award every year. This tremendous accomplishment places Joseph among the top one percent of all student members across the country.”

Trinity speech & debate coach Amy Zuccaro praised Eng: “Joseph is an integral part of our team’s success. He is everything you want in a team member and truly exemplifies our school’s theme of ‘Maximum Effort of the Soul.’  His work ethic and intelligence are impressive, but he is a consummate team player. On numerous occasions coaches and judges from other programs have commented on how Joseph is a leader to opposing teams.”
