Family and friends came together to dedicate the Rocks’ newest courtyard, named in honor of Vincent John Eckerle. The ceremony took place the afternoon of  Sept. 18.

Trinity President Dr. Rob Mullen was among those who spoke at the dedication, and Trinity Chaplain Fr. Dave Zettel blessed the space.

A plaque on the courtyard wall reads:

Class of 1983

This courtyard is dedicated to the memory of Vince Eckerle. It is intended to honor his life, his spirit and his passion for Trinity. The Eckerle family hopes that it serves as a quiet space for reflection and prayer for students, faculty, staff, alumni and visitors.
