The Rocks came away with plenty of hardware from the Louisville Coaches Invitational, held Jan. 14.  Trinity junior Ethan Ackermann was named Region 4 Bowler of the Year, and head coach John McCarthy was named Coach of the year.

Sophomore bowlers Joey Adams, Connor Woosley and Brandon Padgett made First Team All-Region. Juniors T. J. Horsman and Hunter Bloyd made Second Team All-Region. Sophomore Alex McFarland was named Most Improved Bowler after raising his average 61 pins this year.

According to team moderator Mrs. Betsy Darby, “The bowling Rocks qualified No. 1 in the Louisville Coaches Invitational and received a first-round bye. After defeating Ballard 2-0, Holy Cross 2-0 and Fairdale 2-1, they faced North Bullitt in the finals. The Rocks finished out the regular season beating North Bullitt 2-0 to take home the championship.”

The team heads to region finals this week.
