The baseball Rocks hit the final week of the season with a sterling 28-6 record. One of the six seniors on the team, pitcher Cam Warfield, answered a few questions about his baseball career.
Q: Why did you begin competing in baseball?
A: The reason I started competing in baseball is because of my love for the sport. Any time I have the chance to step out on the field and compete with another team, I continue to love the sport even more.
Q: How is the season going so far?
A: It is going great; we have a young team, but the future is bright for us. The sky is the limit with this team.
Q: What is your part on the team and what skills does that require?
A: My role on the team is a senior leader. I contribute any chance I get when I’m on the field. The skills needed to be a senior leader are to make sure on practice day we have the machines, baseballs, bases, and anything else we might need for practice.
Q: What has been your favorite memory on the team?
A: I think my favorite memory from this season is when we had a trip to St. Henry High School. This was for sure something that we’ll benefit from, and it’ll for sure increase our team chemistry.
Q: In what way do you plan to continue your sport after your high school career?
A: I plan on continuing my baseball career by going to Transylvania University and playing baseball there.
Q: What is your fondest memory of Trinity High School?
A: My fondest memory from Trinity is the first time I attended a football game my freshman year and how exciting the environment was and how much I loved being there.
