Riding a nine-game winning streak, the 14-4 lacrosse Rocks defeated Ballard 18-5 to take the district title.  The team is preparing for the State Quarterfinals on May 15. Senior Andrew Welch took time to answer a few questions about his lacrosse career.

Q: Why did you begin competing in lacrosse?

A: I started competing because all my friends played, and I fell in love with it.

Q: How is the season going so far?

A: Our season is going well. We’ve had had some close games, and we have played really well.

Q: What is your part on the team, and what skills does that require?

A: My job is to put the ball in the back of the net. Sometimes it takes a lot of patience to be successful.

Q: What has been your favorite memory on the team?

A: My favorite memory is any time the team can hang out off the field.

Q: In what ways do you plan to continue your sport after your high school career?

A: There’s a chance I continue playing in college, but either way I’ll always come back and support the Rocks.

Q: What is your fondest memory of Trinity High School?

A:  My favorite memory at Trinity was beating St. X.
