A Quick Six with Spring Sports Senior Niko Jones

Led by second-year head coach Chet Allen and moderator Mr. Shayne Hull, the tennis Rocks have racked up an 8-4-1 record, with a recent win over Male. The Rocks compete in the KYHSTCA Sectional today and Apr. 29 at St. Xavier. Senior Niko Jones answered some questions about his tennis career.

A: I have been competing in tennis for a long time and have always enjoyed it. I started because my dad was a college athlete and encouraged me.

Q: How is the season going so far?  

A: The season is going good so far. We have a good team this year with some new talent. The road to state will be tough, but we can do it!

Q: What is your part on the team, and what skills does that require? 

A: I am the captain of the tennis team, and it requires a lot of patience.

Q: What has been your favorite memory on the team?

A: My favorite memory on the team was making it to state sophomore year with my doubles partner, Dustin Garrison ’21.

Q: In what ways do you plan to continue your sport after your high school career?

A: After my high school career, I will continue to play with family and friends but will not be playing for a college.

Q: What is your fondest memory of Trinity High School? 

A: I have many memories at Trinity. In many ways, every day here built a new, wonderful memory.
