On the way to Governor’s Cup play, the Trinity quick recall wrapped up the 2022-2023 Jefferson County Private School League as undefeated champions in JV and Varsity. The win returned the varsity to league champion status for the fourth time in five years, and the JV went undefeated the last two years.
The varsity starting team of captain Krish Gupta, Anthony Holder, John Kehdy, and Will Yorgy beat Presentation and Francis Parker to face St. Xavier in the finals. Trinity trailed by three midway through the first half but used a 10-0 run to open the second half and put the match away.
The JV starting team of captain Liam Amick, Ian Beierle, Jason Bui, and Leo Reinhart defeated St. Xavier in the semifinals and a very good Collegiate team for the championship. The Rocks fought back from a halftime deficit in a close match to win by two.
