On Thursday night, the varsity Soccer Rocks celebrated senior night with a win against Ballard High School. The game kicked off after the ceremony honoring the senior soccer Shamrocks. The first half was controlled by Trinity, moving the ball around the field with a few close shots. Sophomore Cooper Tyler secured a goal for the Rocks around 10 minutes into the game. After the goal, the tensions rose higher and so did the fouls. Both teams became more physical as the game went on. The team did a great job of recovering the ball after it was lost. The score at the end of the 1st half was 1-0 Trinity.
Trinity’s defense was the star of the second half, stopping Ballard before they could get close to the goal. Senior Knox Foster made a great save as the ball was flying towards the top left of the goal. The Rocks pulled off a hard fought 1-0 win over Ballard, leaving them with a 14-1 record.
The varsity Shamrocks play against St. Xavier (away game) for Pride Week on Thursday at 7:30.
