Senior Spotlight: A Q&A with Cooper Hendrick

Cooper Hendrick is one of the many important players on the Trinity football team and is a key contributor. The ECHO sat down with him to learn more about him, and to see who he really is, and what the future holds for him.

ECHO: Who was your biggest influence that got you into football?

Hendrick: “My biggest influence was my older brother, who was a player on the team, and I always looked up to him. He won two state championships, and after seeing the winning he did, I wanted to lace up the cleats, and always worked hard through good times and bad.”

Why did you choose Trinity?

Hendrick: “I came to Trinity because my brother and cousin went here, I shadowed here with my cousin, I loved it here, so it’s where I decided to go.”

What is your favorite memory on the team?

Hendrick: “My favorite memory here was probably winning state my junior year, and beating X my junior year, really showed that the hard work and dedication paid off.”

“When did you first play football?”

Hendrick: “First time I played was kindergarten for the J-Town Bulldogs, played quarterback and I just loved it.”

“Where do you plan to go for college next year?”

Hendrick: “I plan to go to UK, live the frat life, and major in political science”

“Lastly, any advice for underclassmen?

Hendrick: “Just make the most of your time here, get involved and the four years are going to fly by.”
