This past Saturday the Speech and Debate Rocks divided forces to compete in two different tournaments. The Debate Rocks competed virtually in the December Wyatt Debate tournament while the Speech Rocks travelled to Atherton. Claiming honors for the Rocks were freshman Parker Beaven who placed 3rd in Congressional Debate. His performance also helped him to earn membership to the Nationals Speech and Debate Association.
Freshman Conor McCaffrey was the next out in his debut performance with his Original Oratory placing 7th. Senior Hayden Deitz put up another solid performance placing second in Extemporaneous Speaking and first in Impromptu Speaking.
