In addition to hosting the annual Shamrock Invitational this past weekend, the novice Debate Rocks competed with a lot of success. Both Novice Public Forum Teams held a 3-1 record through prelims. The team of Charlie Ellingsworth and Chase Wissing narrowly missed semis on a tiebreaker while Owen Tafel and Ryan Huber advanced to semis before dropping and placing third. All four Shamrocks earned individual speaker awards with Chase in 10th, Charlie in 8th, Ryan in third and Owen in second. Congratulations, Debate Rocks!
