Trinity Takes on St. X in Heated Volleyball Matchup

On Tuesday March 18, the volleyball Rocks faced off against St. X, their biggest rivals each year, for the first time this season at Trinity’s home court. The game was a long battle of endurance with it going to all five sets with Trinity winning the first and third set while St. X won the second, fourth, and fifth. Head Coach Brian Bowles commented afterwards, “At the end of the day, ball control was a big part of this game, and willingness to attack the ball. Endurance came into play, when you go five sets it’s a long night when you go the distance.” Both teams played very well that night and fought extremely hard.

In regards to the season, Bowles commented, “We have a nice long stretch until we play them again, so we got a lot of practice to do.” The team will be working on adjusting both offense and defense after this game to improve overall. The next time that the Rocks and Tigers match up will be on Wednesday, April 30th at St. X on their senior night. It will truly be a game to go and watch with the stakes so high.
