Every year, Trinity, Saint Xavier, Assumption, and Sacred Heart come together for the Pink and White powder puff game, raising money for breast cancer research. At halftime, a group of guys from Trinity and Saint X take the field for a highly anticipated dance routine.
The ECHO caught up with Trinity’s dancers before and after the big performance.
“Preparation has been ruthless,” said Brock Shoemaker. “We’ve practiced three times a week for two months—and we’re ready.”
Cooper Hendrick added, “I’m feeling really good. A bit nervous, but hey, let’s go out there and get our boogie on.”
Trinity’s routine featured sharp formations, acrobatics, and electrifying dance moves. Toward the end of the performance, Sacred Heart players joined in for the first time ever in the history of the event, sending the crowd into a frenzy.
After the routine, Will Saner said, “The boys showed up when we needed them most. We did it, and I think we won—hands down, one hundred percent. We dominated and gave it our all.”
The energy stayed high as the Trinity dancers celebrated their performance. “That was the best execution I’ve ever seen,” said Mason Scherer. “The best dancing in the history of dancing—we did it.”
Assumption won the game and Trinity stole the show with their halftime performance, showing off the countless hours of practice they put in. The Pink and White game ultimately highlighted the dedication, spirit, and unity of all four schools, coming together for a meaningful cause—with Trinity’s dance team squarely in the spotlight.
