Senior Spotlight: Brock Shoemaker, Renaissance Man

As we wrap up the 2024–25 school year, we focus our senior spotlight on a man of many talents. Senior Brock Shoemaker truly is a jack-of-all-trades—whether it’s on the football field, in the classroom, or in a recording booth, Brock shoots for excellence in everything he does.

During his four years at Trinity, Shoemaker has accumulated numerous awards for both his athletic abilities and his character. At senior prom, Shoemaker was voted by his fellow seniors as “Mr. Football.” While this was an amazing feat, Shoemaker says that his greatest accomplishment at Trinity has been winning the Nick Osting Award. “I would say that was my greatest accomplishment because that award is based on character and not based on your ability as just a player,” he said.

Shoemaker will attend Mount St. Joseph University in the fall. He has received numerous scholarships and will be playing football there. While playing football at Trinity, Shoemaker experienced everything from leading the JV team to an undefeated season to winning back-to-back state championships and serving as a varsity captain.

Throughout his football career, Shoemaker has had a multitude of memorable moments. When asked what his favorite was, Shoemaker said, “I would say for me, it’s winning state as a senior. I could say something like the Eastern game when I threw a bunch of touchdowns, but when we won state it was every guy that was involved, and it was good to see all the guys together—whether they played or not—getting to celebrate together.”

This shows why Shoemaker has earned so many awards—not just because of his athletic feats, but also because of his character. He is always looking out for his brothers.
