Every year, a new group of future alumni enters the halls of Trinity. It is a long-held tradition to hold an academic convocation for the new freshmen at the start of the year. This convocation is a time-tested way to lay the framework for an incredible Trinity experience. This past Thursday, August 14, the Trinity Class of 2029 and many of their parents assembled in Steinhauser Gymnasium to hear about what it means to become part of the Trinity brotherhood, picking up important advice along the way.
At this year’s freshman convocation, they heard about their future as part of the Trinity community from our newly elected president, James Torra; followed by advice on being successful from Trinity Class of 2026 treasurer, Owen Strebel; and personal stories full of wisdom from our principal, Dr. Dan Zoeller. This convocation was meant to jump-start the journey to becoming men of faith and character that the Class of 2029 is now beginning. They were shown what it means to be successful at Trinity, and how to get there through hard work and ardent participation. They were even reminded of the most important thing of all: ETL (early to lunch) for all Honor Roll students.
This diverse class has already received tremendous praise from teachers and administrators for making an incredibly smooth transition into Trinity life. In four years, when they find themselves graduating, the Class of 2029 is bound to be successful in the world, fueled by their eagerness to learn and grow as men of faith and character.
