On Friday, August 22nd, 2025, Trinity High School held their annual opening mass in Steinhauser Gym. This was the symbol of the end of the beginning. Director of Campus Ministry Mary Emrich and Mr. Chris Luken, mass was presided over by Fr. Dave Zettel.
In addition to the Mass, every year, the senior class officers are tasked with unveiling and explaining the theme for the school year. Class of 2026 President Max Corbett addressed his peers and reviewed the theme for the 2025-2026-school year: Seize the moment. During Max’s speech, he gave many examples about the importance always seizing the moment. Corbett addressed each grade level and told them the amount of time they have left here at Trinity and encouraged them to always make the most of what our school has to offer.
Later, in the mass. Dr. Zoller took the stage to talk to the Trinity community. He started everything off by thanking everyone who had made the start of the year go so smoothly. Then, Dr. Zoller highlighted the lessons he learned from the summer reading book this year. Finally, Dr. Zoller challenged everyone to seize the moment every day.
After the staff and students came together for communion. As always, to conclude, the Trinity Alma Mater was sung by The Trinity community. The seniors left first, making their way to the Trinity statue in front of the rotunda, giving it a high five (a tradition for many years).
The Trinity Community now aims their sides to a welcoming school year where they will continue to always seize the moment.
