With the help of more than a dozen Trinity students under the direction of teacher Mrs. Mary Mason, the school donated blood today.

Trinity library media specialist Mr.Tim Jones announced the following today:
“As many of you are aware, tomorrow marks the 50th anniversary of the assassination of President John F. Kennedy. To this day, Kennedy is the only Catholic who has served as President of the United States.
“Recently, a mother of an alum (and a grandmother of two more alumni) donated a very rare collection of Kennedy memorabilia to the school and to the Library Media Center. In memory of our 35th president and also as thanks for this wonderful donation, the Library Media Center will be displaying the memorabilia today, tomorrow, and through next week in the south end of the library.
“Teachers are encouraged to bring their classes down to check out the display and take advantage of this opportunity to make history more real. Among the memorabilia, students can see:
- Well-preserved, original news articles from the days after the assassinations of JFK, Oswald, and RFK
- Personal letters from JFK, Ethel, Teddy, and others
- Kennedy campaign literature and memorabilia
- Anti-Catholic smear literature circulated among Kennedy’s opponents
- Articles from anniversary coverage
- And so much more…
“Students will want to see these materials and so will you…. The memorabilia will be displayed across several tables and tops of book shelves for easy perusal by groups.”
