Golfers win Battle of the Bridge
Inman’s 67 tops for Rocks

The golf Rocks claimed the trophy at the Boyle County Battle of the Bridge tournament at Old Bridge Country Club in Danville, Ky., Aug. 9. Trinity shot 283 as a team. Ryle High School finished second with a 290. James Inman was the top golfer for the Rocks, shooting a 67.
* Trinity returned to Oldham County Country Club on Aug. 13, defeating Oldham County 164-165.
* The Rocks finished in fourth place in the Oldham County Classic at Oldham County Country Club on Aug. 11.
In other golf news:
The Rocks finished second in the Five-Star General Lafayette Invitation Tour held Aug. 1 in Lexington.
Trinity rebounded Aug. 2, winning the Cardinal Classic boys’ high school golf tournament at Campbellsville Country Club by nine shots. The Rocks won with a score of 300.
Additionally, the Rocks won the Taylor County Invitational for the second consecutive year, carding a 300.
The nine-stroke victory over runner-up Franklin Co. impressed head coach Mike Brumfield: “The guys played well today!”
The Rocks finished third in the Kentucky Cup at University Country Club in Lexington on Aug. 6.
