Relief in Sight! — Art I Students Create Linoleum Block Prints

ECHO Staff

Art I teacher Mr. Shayne Hull’s students created the most recent exhibit in the library display case. According to Hull, “We worked on linoleum block relief prints.  Each student  sketched out a drawing on paper.  They used graphite paper to transfer the image onto a sheet of linoleum.  Then they used cutting tools to gouge/carve out the negative space, leaving the image as the original surface.  Linoleum was then inked and run through a printing press.”
