Six Trinity National Honor Society members were selected as Educational Justice Activists.  They join Nathan Fieldhouse and Trent Brown, who were selected last year.

Those selected were Luke McFarland, Peter Nguyen, Christopher Elder, Cian Callahan, Nick Michels and Sam Batcheldor.

In a message to Ms. Betsy deGolian, co-moderator of the Trinity NHS chapter with Ms. Emily Boyle, Alex Umaña, Outreach & Development Coordinator for Educational Justice, wrote: “On behalf of Educational Justice I just wanted to personally thank you again for your support in spreading the word about our initiative to your students….We couldn’t have done it without your advocacy and support. We value our partnership with Trinity and hope it continues to grow.”

Last year Brown, who tutors at least one hour per week at the local library, explained the work of the activists: “This is a non-profit program for underprivileged kids that can’t afford tutoring but need it. I go through training four times a year.  It’s a great program and is something all Trinity students should do. It’s a great way to help.”
