Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint Simply the Best

Xander Shelby, Staff Reporter

Have you ever had fresh food straight from Tennessee? Does good music, good food, and a good environment while enjoying a hot meal sound appealing? Martin’s Bar-B-Que Joint may well be first on the list in all those categories.

Martin’s has a such a wide variety of options to pick from, nobody ever knows what to get. That is why Martin’s has a platter in which the choices of meat and sides are provided. Fast casual is as good as it gets, especially at Martin’s. After the first visit, you will never want to leave.

The wings from Martin’s are already great, but when combined with one of four signature sauces — Alabama White, Devil’s Nectar, Sweet Dixie and Palmento Gold — nothing else matters except how good the wings taste.

Good service while enjoying a good meal can be a priority for most people. Martin’s has the best service in the business. There will not be a moment that goes by when a worker does not talk to the customers, ask them if they have everything they need, give them suggestions on what food to choose, and just make general friendly conversation.

The amount of items on the menu is amazing. There are so many options to choose from, customers may not know what to order. Good thing Martin’s has many samplers to let patrons try any food item they would like.

Martin’s main menu consists of brisket, pork, turkey, chicken, ribs and burgers. The side items consist of mac and cheese, green beans, baked beans, French fries, cole slaw, broccoli salad, and hush puppies. They all sound so good. Yum!

The process of smoking the meat always starts a day before. Almost every item at Martin’s is made completely from scratch. They have their own recipes for everything. That defines how Martin’s gets so much flavor into all their food.

From the minute a customer walks in, they are engulfed in the amazing smell of a Tennessee-style barbeque. The sweet smell of smoked pork is a game changer. The first bite from anything in Martin’s will tingle along your taste buds. The wings from Martin’s are already great, but when combined with one of four signature sauces — Alabama White, Devil’s Nectar, Sweet Dixie and Palmento Gold — nothing else matters except how good the wings taste.

At Martin’s, open 11 to 9, the prices are fairly reasonable. Located at 3408 Indian Lake Dr., Martin’s has only seven restaurants in the US. We’re lucky to have one here.
