Iconic Zombie Show ‘The Walking Dead’ Always Entertains

Christian Howard, Staff Reporter

Zombies, guts, guns, fighting, chaos, revenge, mystery and violence. Zombie apocalypse life isn’t easy. See what it’s like in the best show on TV, “The Walking Dead.”

The show has a wide range of characters, among them Rick Grimes (Andrew Lincoln), the main character. Before the apocalypse, Rick had an ordinary life. He was a deputy sheriff in Macon, Georgia. He had a wife, Lori, and one kid, Carl.

As Rick is the leader of the group of survivors, he is strong and will do whatever it takes to protect his group.

The phenomenal plot of the show gets better and better. The themes focus on family, loyalty and hard work. I’m very interested to see how the show ends.

Daryl Dixon (Norman Reedus), a fan favorite according to viewer polls, is a rough and tough country boy from the woods of Georgia. He’s never afraid to fight. Daryl carries a bow and arrow, drives a customized motorcycle, and wears all black.

On the inside, however, Daryl is actually a really caring person. He’ll also do whatever it takes to protect his group.

Glenn Rhee (Steven Yeun) is usually the guy who does the dangerous missions for the group. He’s small and quick, which makes him perfect for the job.

Glen, Daryl and Rick have been together since the beginning of the show. I like all three of these characters, but Daryl is my favorite.

Along with interesting characters, the soundtrack of the show is strong and matches up perfectly with the tone needed at any given moment. The opening song for the show always gets stuck in my head.

There aren’t many weak areas of the show but some scenes may have a bit too much gore. I don’t particularly like a lot of gore, but it should be expected — it is a zombie show.

Except for the occasional slow episode, “The Walking Dead” continues to entertain and continues to be a fan favorite.
