The Rocks handled Johnson Central easily in the first round of the Whitaker Bank/KHSAA Sweet 16.

The disappointment associated with last year’s first-round loss to Scott County vanished as the Rocks raced to a huge lead against Johnson Central and won 70-28 in the Whitaker Bank/KHSAA Sweet 16, held Mar. 6 at Rupp Arena in Lexington.

The Rocks take on Ashland Blazer, a 58-50 winner over Owensboro, in the quarterfinal round Mar. 8 at 1:30.
