No close opener this year. Leading 34-0 at halftime of their season opener, the No. 1-ranked Rocks ran away from Indiana power Carmel 41-14. 

The Trinity home game featured three touchdown passes by Nathan McElroy and scores by Kaelan Racculia (two), Ryan Miller, Armon Tucker (two) and Bradley West.
