Don’t Waste Any Time — See ‘Yesterday’ Today

Sam Repp, Staff Reporter

Jack Malik is riding his bike down the road in England. Out of nowhere a major power outage hits the whole world — and Jack gets hit by a bus.

This is the strange start to the movie “Yesterday,” which is about singer/songwriter Jack (Himesh Patel) and friend Ellie (Lily James). After the blackout and accident, Jack discovers that The Beatles never existed but he knows their songs. He decides to take advantage of this gift.

“Yesterday,” directed by Danny Boyle, has great acting, great cinematography by Christopher Ross, and great songs by The Beatles.

The film has brought in about $146 million worldwide — terrific considering it cost only $26 million.

This is a good movie for those who have not listened to many songs by The Beatles — and for those who are big fans.

I got reactions from a couple of people, Geoff Repp and Kelly Malone, who both said the movie was very good.

I totally agree.  I don’t want to give away too much of the story.

See “Yesterday” today and enjoy the ending!
