Five of Trinity teacher Mr. Jeff Hurt’s German III and IV students got into the Christmas spirit by taking part in the 15th annual Weihnachtsgottesdienst (an ecumenical Christmas Service conducted entirely in German) at St. Matthews Baptist Church on Sunday, Dec. 1 (the first Sunday of Advent).  The students read aloud the day’s Old Testament selection.

Juniors Thad Lipinski and Jackson Bogel and seniors Lloyd Soards, Thomas Clarke and Patrick Clarke read at the service, which was well attended by members of the local German-speaking community, coming from as far away as Evansville, Indiana. After the service, the young men received compliments on their reading.
