The Rocks won their 26th football state championship by beating Male 28-6 on Dec. 8.

City leaders were among those who lauded the state champion football Rocks at an assembly held in Steinhauser Gymnasium Jan. 13.  Trinity brought home its 26th football state title by defeating Male 28-6 on Dec. 8. 

Louisville Mayor Greg Fischer ’76 and St. Matthews Council members Ms. Mary Jo Nay and Mr. Tim Holland praised the Rocks and presented proclamations and signs to head coach Bob Beatty recognizing the Rocks’ outstanding achievement.

Trinity President Dr. Rob Mullen and Principal Dr. Dan Zoeller welcomed the city officials as Director of Athletics Mr. Rob Saxton emceed the assembly.  Beatty spoke of his team’s dedication to achieving success. Ranked 38th in the nation this season, the Rocks rebounded from a 7-7 2018 season to record their third state championship in the past four years.
