Rocks Finish Fourth in Talent-Laden Trinity Invitational

The cross country team’s Trinity Invitational, the oldest meet in the state and one of the most prestigious in the country, featured thousands of runners. The Rocks placed fourth out of 23 teams in the annual meet.

Trinity President Dr. Rob Mullen expressed “thanks to (head coach) Craig Kannapel and (assistant athletics director) Sean Duggins for marshaling all the parents, runners and volunteers.  The meet is held in conjunction with Sacred Heart’s Valkyrie Invitational.”

In the Boys 5k Run Seeded Elite division, the following finished top five: Alexander Partlow, Carbondale High School (15:12.14); Brady Masters, Madison Central (15:14.18); Spenser Wolf, Forest Park High School (15:19.92); Jimmy Mullarkey, Fern Creek (15:27.98); and Cooper Wasson, Bluegrass United Home School T (15:28.06).

The top Rocks harriers out of 222 competitors were Zach Woodall (20th), Morgan Frederick (31st), Finn Thomas, Colin Murphy and Henry Robinson.
