The Rocks repeated as Region 5 swimming and diving champs.

The Trinity swimming and diving Rocks claimed the Region 5 championship for the second consecutive year on Feb. 4. With a team score of 536, the Rocks bested Eastern, who finished as runner-up with a score of 449.5.

The Rocks, led by sixth-year head coach Mike Essig, got victories in all three relays and individually from Sawyer Tapp in the 100 backstroke and 100 butterfly, Caleb Mullikin in the 200 freestyle and 100 freestyle, and Alec Kammeyer in the 50 freestyle.

Tapp, Mullikin, Kammeyer and Joey Geddie were named to the All-Region team, and Tapp was named Most Outstanding Swimmer of the meet.  Tapp also set a new school record in the 100 backstroke (:50.73)
