SPORTS DIGEST Swimmers finish fourth in state as Cooper wins 100 butterfly The swimming Rocks racked up 190.5 points in the state swimming championships, held at the University of Louisville’s Ralph Wright Natatorium. This score was good for fourth place, finishing behind St. Xavier, Covington Catholic and Ballard. Junior Thomas Cooper won a state crown in the 100 butterfly (50.00) and placed third in the 200 free (1:39.72). Trinity’s 200 free relay also scored a third. Senior Preston Schilling added a second place in the 100 breaststroke (57.69). Cooper and Schilling were named First Team and Second Team All-State, respectively. Three basketball Rocks on All-Region team Congratulations to Trinity seniors Darryl Hicks and James Quick for being named to the Seventh Region All-Region first team. Senior Miles Rice was named to the second team.
