By Jacob Comstock Staff Reporter In today’s multimedia world, the music business is constantly changing from day to day. With new musicians such as Asher Roth, Drake, and 3OH!3, the radio is full of different bands and artists. Some of these artists will be number one; then the next week you’ll never hear from them again. The music business is a vicious cycle, weeding out the unwanted and replacing it with something new until something comes around that’s different enough to make people like it. Well, that new something is Kid Cudi. You might have heard his song “Day & Night” or heard him featured on one of Kanye West’s songs. Either way you should have heard the name Kid Cudi, who is one of the newest artists out and just released his first album, “Man on the Moon” Sept. 15. I now own his new album; in fact it is in my CD player in my car. Kid Cudi’s style of music is different from other hip-hop artists. He tends to tell a story in every song, dealing with his personal life and experiences. Cudi’s new album is a story of his life told in a harmonic tone. For those looking for something new to shove through your amplifiers, Kid Cudi is the perfect choice. He is full of new beats and loud bass. “Man on the Moon” is the best hip-hop CD out right now. I’m not the only one who thinks this. Senior Wes Jackson said, “The Kid Cudi CD is good because there isn’t a bad song on it, and it’s good to chill to.”
