The Rocks exploded out of the gates on the visitors from Paul Dunbar with six early goals, four of which were put in the net by junior Phillip Brehl. Going into the fourth quarter, the Rocks were putting on a shutout. The Rocks were playing great defense and were able to put one goal in the net late in the match, ending the game at 16-0. Trinity coach Pete Schroeder said, “I am pleased with the varsity’s performance, and it’s great to get a shutout.” Towards the end of the first quarter, two more goals were thrown in the net to make the first quarter end in an 8-0 score. The Rocks played great defense a man down for a lot of the second quarter because of an illegal stick infraction. The lack of men on the field didn’t stop the Rocks offense. They came out firing shots left and right, but the Dunbar goalie made great saves until Tim George threw one in from the top of the circle that ripped past the defenders into the net. His goal was closely followed by another that went straight past the goalie and back into net, leaving the score at 10-0 with five minutes remaining in the half. Shortly after thinking the Rocks were going to go into the half with a 10-0 lead, they marched down the field and threw another goal into the net. It was only a matter of time before senior Walker Price came down with 25 seconds left and put one into the net, making it 12-0 going into the half. The third period started with a bang. Alex Edelen’s early goal made the score 13-0. At this point Trinity put in a lot of subs, but that didn’t stop their magnificent offense. Later in the quarter two more goals were put into the net, making the score 15-0. The Dunbar coach said, “Trinity is a great, well-coached team.”
