Trinity High School art student wins eight firsts in contests

Trinity senior Mitchell Smith won five first-place awards in the 2014 Woman’s Club of St. Matthews Student Arts & Crafts Contest.  His first-place ribbons were in painting, printmaking, drawing, pottery and ceramics, and watercolor.  He also received a Participation Award for his five entries.

Additionally, he won three first-place awards in the GFWC Kentucky Students Arts Show in drawing, painting, and watercolor.  He placed second in pottery and ceramics and printmaking.

Smith’s teacher this year is Ms. Carole Baker.
