The first half remained scoreless until the closing moments when senior kicker Carson Hilbert drilled a field goal, putting the Shamrocks on the board with a 3-0 lead going into halftime. Hilbert then opened the second half with another field goal, extending Trinity’s lead to 6-0.
Senior running back Chris Wilson added to the excitement by scoring a 1-yard rushing touchdown late in the third quarter, followed by Hilbert’s extra point to push the lead to 14-0. Wilson later sealed the game with a spectacular 70-yard touchdown run in the fourth quarter. Hilbert added the extra point, bringing the final score to 20-0.
Trinity’s defense was impenetrable, holding Ballard scoreless throughout the game, securing a shutout victory and providing the perfect cap to a thrilling Senior Night.
