Lacrosse Rocks Build Momentum as Season Progresses

A few games into the season, the Trinity Shamrocks are showing major improvement. Following a 16-4 win over Eastern, the team appears to be finding its rhythm.

One of the biggest changes has been team chemistry. Early in the season, the Shamrocks struggled to click, but they now appear more connected on the field. Brady West said the team is “one whole team right now,” a shift reflected in improved passing, communication and overall comfort during play.

That cohesion was evident in their recent win over Eastern. Trinity controlled the game from the start, with the offense moving the ball effectively and creating quality scoring opportunities. The defense remained solid, limiting Eastern’s chances. The lopsided score underscored the team’s progress.

Several players have also stepped up. West pointed to Thomas Neff as a key contributor who has improved significantly since last season. West also noted growth in his own play, emphasizing better ball movement and an increased focus on assists rather than individual efforts.

The Shamrocks are playing with confidence. West said the team believes it can compete with the top teams in the state. With the postseason approaching, Trinity believes it has the potential to make a strong run. If the Shamrocks maintain their chemistry and level of play, they will be a difficult team to beat.
