Cade Partin has spent his entire high school career wearing a Trinity jersey, and now he is ready for the next step. The senior outfielder has committed to play baseball at Transylvania University, continuing a journey built on hard work, leadership and consistency.

Early Love for the Game

Partin first got into baseball through his father, who played college baseball and now works in the sport. Baseball has been a constant in his life for as long as he can remember. “I just grew up in the game, and it’s been something that I’ve done since I can remember,” Partin said.

Family Influence

Partin credits much of his development to his father, who coached him through his early years. “My dad, growing up with him and looking up to him, he’s been my coach up until high school,” Partin said. “I got to learn from him how to play and get into the game.” That early guidance helped shape Partin into the hardworking player and leader he is today.

Commitment and Tradition

Partin’s commitment to Transylvania University continues a long line of Trinity baseball players who have joined the Pioneers program.

Transylvania has become a common destination for Trinity players, including draft pick Trent Youngblood, HCAC Player of the Year Ethan Dillion and current Trinity player Griffin Brunstetter.

Partin said the school’s location also played a major role in his decision. “The fact that it is in Lexington and an area that I’m familiar with and close to home was very important to me,” Partin said. For Partin, joining the program is an opportunity to continue the Trinity-to-Transylvania pipeline while staying close to home and representing Trinity at the next level.

Senior Season Success

Partin has put together an impressive senior season, batting .430 with a 1.288 OPS and 34 hits, including 14 extra-base hits. He also has four home runs and nine stolen bases through 31 games.

He has played a major role in helping Trinity become the top-ranked team in the state and one of the top teams in the nation. His consistency at the plate and reliability in the field have made him an important piece in Trinity’s pursuit of another championship.
