Volleyball Rocks capture state tournament The Trinity volleyball team captured the state tournament this past weekend. The team swept St. Henry and Covington Holy Cross in straight sets, setting up a rematch with St. Xavier. The Rocks played extremely well, downing the Tigers 25-15, 25-18. Trinity was led by strong performances from seniors Hayden Keller, T.J. Colley, Jack Meyer, Patrick Miles, Jared Taylor and Will Steer. Fishing team best from Louisville in state championship The Rocks fielded three teams in the competition, with Andrew Mitchell and Will O’Rourke finishing 16 at 21-12. This was the best finish by a Louisville team. Trevor Hulsey and Brendan Christ placed 23 rd (15-10), and Tanner Nettleship and Kyle Muennich were 37 th (8-1). Trinity’s head coach is Mr. Mike Chancellor. Quick scores two firsts in Eastern Relays Trinity track star James Quick placed first in the 100 (10.98) and 200 (21.94). The Rocks’ 800 relay team placed fourth (1:29.96). Powerlifter sets weight room record Senior Lance Kaufman is now the new record holder for DIPS in the heavyweight division. He performed 25 reps, bettering the previous record by one.
