Ice Hockey The varsity ice Rocks beat Lexington Lafayette 2-1 on Jan. 18, with goals scored by Jake Rosenfeld and Mike Rosenfeld. * The JV Rocks played in a pool tournament in Dayton, Ohio, Saturday through Monday. They had a slow start, not scoring in their first game against northwest Ohio schools. In game 2, Gavin Gleeson and Ryan Gustafson scored to lead the Rocks over Cincinnati St. Xavier 2-0. Game 3 saw the Rocks really turn it on with a 5-1 victory over West Virginia. Gustafson had two goals; Ryan Cywinski, Gleeson, and Curtis Catalina each had one goal; and Mitch Schiller had three assists. Trinity took a close one from Dayton in game four by a score of 4-3. Goals were scored by Gleeson, Reed Campana, Gustafson and Cywinski. The three wins put Trinity in the championship game against Fairfield, Ohio. The Rocks lost a tough game by a score of 3-2, with goals by Jake Rosenfeld and Mitch Wise. Bowling The bowling Rocks participated in the City Tournament at King Pin Lanes on Jan. 19. After seeding No. 1 after six Baker games, averaging 211, the Rocks shut out Bullitt East. However, Trinity was defeated in the next round by tournament runner-up Jeffersontown. Wrestling Trinity finished in third place in the Dragon Invitational at South Oldham High School on Jan. 19. Placing first in their weight classes for the Shamrocks were Ian Kahl at 138 and Bobby Bryant (285). Keegan Duncan (120) and Ben Barton (132) finished third for Trinity.
