Grayson Roberts: Air Force Academy Extraordinaire

The United States Air Force Academy is at a staggering 12% acceptance rate. Grayson Roberts, a member of the 2024 Trinity High School senior class, is a part of that 12%.

Knowing this information, Roberts went into the lengthy process at the beginning of his junior year. The first step is a pre-application process, which is very basic to make sure the applicant is qualified to apply for a official application. During this time, Roberts completed his congressional nomination. Roberts then completed his official application. The physical part of the process is next: the CFA (Candidate Fitness Assessment) and this is to make sure the applicant is in physical standards of the Air Force. The CFA is a test of strength, agility, speed, and endurance designed to determine if the applicant has the stamina to complete the physical program at the academy. After this long process, the applicant is either accepted or denied. Roberts was accepted into the academy after these many steps in the process.

Roberts is very passionate about being a part of something bigger than himself and wants to serve his country. Ever since a child his goal was to be a pilot is and he wanted to be in the Air Force so taking the path through the academy is the best way to reach his goal. Add another accomplishment to Grayson Roberts’s long list: he recently achieved his piloting license. Congratulations, Grayson!
