Senior Leaders Make Their Mark: Part One

Each year, Trinity students elect a new group of class officers. These five officers serve as leaders for the senior class and act as a voice for the student body to Trinity’s administration. The five positions include president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and the sergeant at arms, and each officer has unique responsibilities. This year, Griffin Brunstetter fills the role of secretary, Owen Strebel is treasurer, and Holden Schoen serves as sergeant at arms.

Griffin Brunstetter — Class Secretary

Following Will Saner’s stint last year, Griffin Brunstetter was elected last spring as secretary for the 2026 senior class. Brunstetter describes the secretary’s job as being the “Swiss army knife of class officers,” as much of his role is simply being available to help his fellow officers when needed. Brunstetter says he tries to lead by example, especially when it comes to participation, saying, “I’m a big advocate of participation in clubs, events, and going to games and getting involved as much as you can.” Another way Brunstetter leads is through his voice, saying, “I use my voice to express how the student body feels towards decisions administration has made and I try to speak for those who may not be willing to speak out on their own.”

Owen Strebel — Class Treasurer

After a great year from Max Black as treasurer, Owen Strebel steps in for the class of 2026. As treasurer, Strebel plays a key role in helping out around the school, saying, “I help the school run smoothly and make sure everyone can get everything done.” His love for Trinity and the community that comes with it is one of his favorite parts of being an officer. “That love has carried all the way to my senior year, and that made me want to make an impact on the school,” he said. Strebel’s dedication and hard work are among his biggest strengths, making him a big help to the senior class.

Holden Schoen — Sergeant at Arms

Holden Schoen follows Logan Bryant from last year as the senior class’s sergeant at arms. Not only is Schoen an offensive weapon for the Rocks on the football field, but he is also a key piece of the senior class and especially the class officers. Schoen said one way he tries to contribute as an officer is through leadership, saying, “I’m a leader for the underclassmen and I also try to be a leader for the senior class.” Similar to Brunstetter, one of the ways he feels he impacts the school is through his voice, stating, “One way I make an impact is by bringing up topics to Mr. Perkins and Mr. Carroll about how we can improve things and getting feedback from other students.”
