The Trinity Class President is a prestigious position that has been around for many years. For the Class of 2027, Myles Howze was elected and cannot wait to begin to fulfill his role next year.
This is a goal that he has been thinking about for a while now, and his intention for running for Class President is very clear, as he has always known what he strives to do. “I wanted the opportunity to lead the school and really have an impact on what we get done as a school next year.”
But with the Class of 2027 being the biggest on campus, it can be difficult for students to buy into what this school means to so many people. Howze’s way to combat this is to ensure that every student’s voice is heard. “I want to make sure we get all into the Trinity experience with everyone being included and having an impact on what we do as a school.”
Getting elected was not a simple process for Howze, though. He developed a set of campaigning strategies that he believes helped him get the word out about him running. This included collective campaigning with all class officer candidates from Romero House, which he is a part of, making sure all of his friends knew he was running and encouraging them to vote for him, and giving a high-quality speech where he set forth his goals as class president.
At Trinity, Howze is involved in many activities. He currently plays football and has also played baseball here, but one organization, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes (FCA), stands out to him as his favorite. What happens at these meetings is, “Some of the athletes at Trinity meet up to talk about God and our relationships with him, and I really enjoy staying involved with the church aspect of Trinity.” Although going to Trinity was a big step for him, as none of his family members went here, he credits this place for engaging opportunities like these. “It really opened up some new awesome opportunities that I never had before.”
Outside of school, he is a very social person who is always trying to meet new people and foster relationships in our community. In particular, he enjoys hanging out with his friends and family, which he cares deeply about. He is also an avid reader, often found enjoying a good book. “If I find a book that I enjoy, I can really get into it.”
The Trinity family looks forward to a greaT 2026-27 school year with Howze leading the way.
